Article I GENERAL PROVISION

Section 1 The name of the organization is the Asian Academy of Prosthodontics (AAP).

Section 2 The aim of Asian Academy of Prosthodontics is to promote the specialty of Prosthodontics in Asia through international exchange.

Section 3 The AAP shall consist of members in the Asian region.

Article II MEMBERSHIP

Section 4 This academy shall consist of the following members:

1. Active members

Members shall be prosthodontists, dentists who approve the aim of AAP and receive the approval of the Executive Council.

Organizations shall be prosthodontic organization of each country/region that approve of the aim of AAP and receive the approval of the Executive Council.

2. Affiliate members

2.1. Affiliate members shall be dentists, dental technicians who approve the aim of AAP.

2.2. A person or corporation who has interest in Prosthodontics and who is willing to help and encourage members of the AAP

3.Honorary members

Members shall be past presidents and others who are approved by the Executive Council.

Article III FISCAL REGULATION

Section 5 Operational expenses shall be defrayed by initiation fee, contributions, and others.

Section 6 Initiation fee for new members shall be US $ 50 (fifty). The fiscal year shall begin on the first day of January and end on the last day of December in each calendar year. AAP members shall be required to pay the annual dues only.

Fiscal year: from the new term of president (2 years)

Article IV EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Section 7 Executive council of the Academy shall be as follows:

President (one, chairperson)

President Elect (one)

Immediate Past President

Vice President (three)

Secretaries (two),Treasurers(two), Councilor(six) and Regional Representatives.

Section 8 Election of President

The President shall be elected by the Executive Council. The president shall normally be from the area in which the next academy meeting will be held.

Section 9 Regional Representatives

Regional Directors shall be from each Prosthodontic Society (normally President) in Asian regions/countries.

Section 10 General Assembly

Shall be comprised of members and shall determine the policies of the AAP as proposed by the Executive Council.

Article V MEETINGS

Section 11 The Members Business Meeting and the Scientific Meeting shall be held every other year. The meeting should be prepared and held by the national prosthodontic organization of the host country in conjunction with its national prosthodontic scientific meeting.

Section 12 The president can call for the Officers Business Meeting and the Executive Council Meeting shall be held at least once a year.

Section 13 The General Assembly Meeting and the Scientific Meeting shall normally be held every other year.

Section 14 The president can call for the business meeting of Executive at least once a year.

Article VI AMENDMENTS TO THE BYLAWS

Section 15 Proposed changes to the Bylaws shall be adopted at the Executive Council meeting and shall be approved by the General Assembly.
